Tasty Hot and Sour Soup Recipe

Soup is one of the best go-to food for everyone! It is primarily liquid food, served warm or hot- but can also be served cool or cold- that is made by mixing ingredients of meat or vegetables with stock, milk, or water.

There are many types of soups, but today, we’re going to make a delicious hot and sour soup!

So without further ado, let’s dive in!

Steps:

Prepare all the ingredients

Soak the dried mushrooms in a bowl with hot water, let it stay for a few minutes

Slice carrots thinly

Chop the green onions (green part for garnish, white part for cooking)

 Slice bamboo shoots thinly

Mince the ginger

Slice the mushroom also thinly

Prepare the soy sauce mixture: in a bowl add soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, white pepper and sesame oil

Prepare the cornstarch mixture: in a bowl mix the contract and water until it dissolves

Beat the 4 eggs in a bowl

In a soup stock pan, heat then add about 2 tbsp oil. Saute the ginger, leeks and mushroom until fragrant.

Add in the broth. Let it simmer.

Add in the carrots, bamboo shoot, mushroom and the soy sauce mixture. Turn it up to high heat. 

Pour in the beaten egg and whisk continuously. Let the eggs cook through.

Stir in the cornstarch mixture. 

Serve. All done! You can now enjoy your delicious hot and sour soup!

  • 6-8 pcs Dried Shitake Mushroom
  • 1/4 cup Bamboo Shoots
  • 1/2 Tofu
  • 1/4 cup Carrots

  • 5 cup Broth (chicken or vegetable broth)
  • 4 pcs eggs

  • 6 tbsp Soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp White pepper
  • 2 tbsp Sesame oil

Cornstarch Mixture

  • 4 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 4 tbsp Water

Instructions
