Ingredients

  • 2 cups All purpose flour
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt
  • Water
  • Cooking oil
  • Flour (for sprinkling the surface)

Instructions

  • In a bowl, place in all-purpose flour, baking soda, and 1/2 cup of yogurt. You can also add extra water when needed and extra flour for dredging later.
  • Mix with spatula , then use hands to incorporate all the ingredients together.
  • Add more yogurt, the dough needs more yogurt. The dough must be slightly sticky.
  • Continue mixing with your hands, then form dough into ball.
  • Cover. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
  • Remove the cover. Divide the dough into equal parts. This dough can be divided into 6 parts.
  • Using a rolling pin, flatten each piece of dough. The dough doesn't have to be a perfect circle.
  • Continue to roll the rest of the dough but make sure to mind its thickness. You would never want to have a bread so thin or too thick!
  • Finish rolling the dough, dust the surface with flour so it would not stick. Sprinkle it in between the flatten dough.
  • Heat a non-stick pan. Drizzle with oil.
  • Once the pan is heated, place one piece of naan dough.
  • Check the dough for bubbles. When it appears, it is time to flip it over. Note: There will be nice bubbling brown blisters.
  • Transfer each naan into a plate. Pile them up!
  • Serve. All done! You can now enjoy your delicious naan bread!
